Commercial Rent from Floor Area Calculator
Calculate commercial rent from an area-based rental quote.
Convert a supplied price and floor area into comparable price-per-area figures. Match the area definitions before comparing properties; the ratio is not a market valuation or a construction quote.
Price per unit of floor area helps compare property prices on a common size basis. Enter one total price and the corresponding measured area. The calculator expresses the same ratio per square metre and per square foot; it does not infer a property value from local transactions.
Decide what the numerator contains before comparing listings. A price including parking, land or furnishings may need interpretation alongside a listing whose price covers only the dwelling.
The selected unit determines how the area is expressed in both measurement systems. This allows a square-foot listing and a square-metre listing to be viewed in the same unit.
The total price is divided separately by square metres and square feet. Smaller area for an unchanged price raises both ratios; changing only the display unit should describe the same underlying property.
Sample inputs demonstrate the method. They are not a forecast or product offer.
The example divides €100,000 by 100 square metres, producing €1,000 per square metre. Converting that unit price with the exact area factor gives €92.90304 per square foot, displayed as €92.90.
Sample inputs demonstrate the method. They are not a forecast or product offer.
The outputs are monetary amounts per unit of area, not percentages. They summarise the supplied price and size but do not account for location, condition, layout, tenure or the usefulness of particular rooms.
Use the ratios as one comparison measure rather than a valuation or construction quotation. A larger property can have a lower unit price while still requiring a much larger total budget.
Not directly. Use the same measurement definition across properties before comparing their prices per unit.
