Personal Net Worth Calculator
Include converted amounts in a personal balance sheet using one currency.
Convert a nominal Irish punt amount to euro, or reverse the calculation. This tool does not estimate inflation-adjusted value, collectible value or an exchange rate for British pounds.
The Irish punt and the euro are linked by a fixed conversion factor, not a floating exchange quote. This calculator converts nominal amounts in either direction while leaving questions of purchasing power and collectible value outside the calculation.
Check an old account, receipt or note denomination for its currency before converting. The appearance of a pound symbol alone does not establish that the amount is Irish punt.
For punt to euro, divide by 0.787564. For the reverse direction, multiply euro by that same factor; replacing it with a rounded reciprocal would introduce avoidable differences.
The tool retains additional precision for inspection. When a final euro amount is needed in cents, round after conversion rather than rounding the factor first.
Sample inputs demonstrate the method. They are not a forecast or product offer.
The first example enters 0.787564 Irish pounds. Because that is exactly the fixed Irish-pound amount corresponding to one euro, division by the factor returns a euro amount of 1.
Sample inputs demonstrate the method. They are not a forecast or product offer.
The result answers a nominal currency-conversion question. It does not show how much the original sum would buy today or how prices have changed since the transaction.
A collector may value a physical note or coin differently from its monetary conversion. Its condition, rarity and any exchange procedure are not evaluated by this tool.
Convert nominal Irish pounds and euro at the irrevocable conversion rate, without a historical inflation adjustment.
