Gross Salary Converter: Hourly to Annual Pay
Put salary amounts on the same gross pay-period basis.
Find the bonus amount for an eligible salary and period, or work backwards to its percentage. Eligibility must be confirmed separately, and the gross result excludes payroll deductions.
The bonus calculation connects an eligible salary, a percentage and the eligible fraction of the award period. It can also work backwards from a known gross bonus to identify the percentage applied to that eligible base.
Multiply eligible salary by the declared period fraction. This keeps the salary reference and the proportion of the qualifying period separate.
For an amount, multiply the eligible base by the percentage divided by one hundred. For a percentage, divide the gross bonus by that base and multiply by one hundred.
The output is the award amount or its implied contractual percentage before payroll deductions. It does not convert the award to money received in a payslip.
Sample inputs demonstrate the method. They are not a forecast or product offer.
The first example has €50,000 eligible salary, a 10% award and a full-period fraction of one. The eligible base stays €50,000; multiplying it by 0.10 produces a €5,000 gross bonus before any payroll deductions.
Sample inputs demonstrate the method. They are not a forecast or product offer.
A reduced period fraction lowers the amount at a fixed percentage. In reverse mode, the same award against a smaller eligible base implies a higher percentage.
The calculation describes the inputs rather than establishing an entitlement. Performance discretion, qualifying service and the actual tax treatment must be checked separately.
Find a gross bonus from an eligible salary and rate, or work backwards from a bonus amount to its percentage.
This is gross contractual bonus arithmetic. Tax deductions, performance discretion and bonus eligibility are not inferred.
